CASE RESULTS

Our attorneys work directly with professionals, businesses and institutions to respond decisively to federal charges, university actions and government inquiries.

From the first sign of an investigation to the trial and, if necessary, appeal, our team applies sound judgment and unwavering advocacy to uphold each client’s credibility and livelihood.

United States v. Gurry.

The firm represented the former Vice President of Managed Markets at Insys Therapeutics at trial and on appeal. Mr. Gurry was charged with RICO conspiracy for his role in seeking prior authorizations for an FDA-approved fentanyl spray. Our team successfully obtained an acquittal on the top predicates alleging violations of the Controlled Substances Act and the honest services mail and wire fraud statutes.

Commonwealth v. Rosenberg Hefner.

Our client, the spouse of the former President of the Massachusetts Senate, avoided a sentence of incarceration after pleading guilty to three charges relating to alleged sexual misconduct. Our team secured dismissal of one charge for lack of probable cause, and the Commonwealth nolle prossed the remaining six charges.

IN MEMORIAM

Susan Winkler
We are deeply saddened by Susan’s passing after a valiant year-long battle with cancer. True to her character, Susan faced her illness with determination, grit, and grace. She lived on her own terms through her final days and passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children, as she wanted. Susan was an amazing woman, a true friend and mentor, an untiring advocate for her clients, and, most importantly, a compassionate and caring human being. To say she will be greatly missed is an understatement. The world was a better place with Susan in it.
